The Taxation Department admitted its first set of students in 2015 after the initial accreditation was given by the NBTE for the commencement of the course. The heads of Department till date are; NAME QUALIFICATION TENURE Mr. Mukail A. Akinde HND, B.Sc, M.Sc, FCA, ACTI (Ph.D in view) 2015-2017 Mrs. Abosede I. Adelusi HND, B.Sc, M.Sc, ACA 2017 till date The first set of students were admitted at the beginning of 2015/2016 academic session, the number of students admitted were sixty-five (65). Concurrently for 2018/2019 academic session the school had given admission to eighty (80) students. The first set of National Diploma (ND) graduates, graduated in 2017 while the second sets of graduates are currently during their mandatory Industrial Training. The field back the department receives from their employers are highly encouraging especially those employers that are into taxation and accounting practices.

The National Diploma Taxation graduate should be able to:

  • Apply knowledge of the principles of taxation to various situations;
  • Apply the basic knowledge of tax administration and produce in both private and public sector;
  • Assist in the collections and integration of basic financial data for use in tax decisions;
  • Prepare tax statements;
  • Assist in the preparation of short and long term tax plans;
  • Collect and collate relevant tax information to aid  Management and Administrators In making fiscal decisions;
  • Interpret basic statistical and financial data for tax purposes;
  • Participate effectively in carrying out survey and feasibility studies on Tax;
  • Set up and successfully manage a private enterprise.
