FEDERAL POLY ILARO HAS SURPASSED THEM ALL - WELCOME POLY ILARO 92.1 FM
The Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and Olu of Ilaro, HRH Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle (Agunloye Asade IV) has commended the leadership traits of the institution's management team led by the Rector, Arc. Dr Olusegun Aluko at the commissioning of the *Poly Ilaro 92.1 FM radio station at the Department of Mass Communication of the institution.
The Paramount Ruler also affirmed his support and that of the Yewa Traditional Council for the success of the first Radio Station in Yewaland.
While giving his welcome address, the Rector posited that all hands are fully on deck to ensuring that the students undergo adequate training that would make them employable.
Arc Aluko revealed that the establishment of the Radio Station is part of the requirements given by National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for reaccreditation of Departments of Mass Communication, Computer Engineering and Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
In his words, "POLY ILARO 92.1 FM is purely for training of our students", reiterating that "The radio station is non-commercial and has Yewaland as its coverage area" .
He added that the Paramount Ruler has been a blessing to the institution and he is always welcome in the studio to reach out to his subjects.
In her comments, the representative of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Mrs Bosede Williams said that the Radio Station would promote social well-being of Yewaland as well as students' knowledge, reaffirming that the NBC is ready to nurture the station subject to strict compliance of the rules and regulations guiding the approval.
Gracing the commissioning were Ilaro traditional chiefs, the Deputy Rector, the Registrar, the Poly Librarian, Deans, Directors, HODs, staff and students of the institution.
