The School of Communication and Information Technology was established in January, 2017 and Mr. Olugbemi, Oloyede Sesan was appointed as the Pioneer Dean. In year 2020, the first female Dean of the school emerged in person of Dr (Mrs) Charlotte Bose Iro-Idoro. At its inception, the School consisted of three departments namely Department of Office Technology and Management, Department of Library and Information Science and Department of Mass Communication. The Department of Music Technology which was established this 2018/2019 session, became the forth Department in the School. The present heads of the department in the School are: Dr. J. I. Orija (Chief Lecturer): Department of Office Technology and Management Mr. M. B. Joda (Chief Lecturer): Department of Library and Information Science Dr. Bolu Folayan (Senior Lecturer): Mass Communication Dr. Olaleye (Senior Lecturer): Music Technology While the Department of Office Technology and Management offers both Full Time National and Higher National Diploma programmes, the other three departments offer only National Diploma Programme. Furthermore, it is only the Department of Office Technology and Management and Department of Mass Communication that run Part Time Programme at National Diploma level for now. The core mandate of the School is to turn out diplomats who are well-groomed in learning and character for the employment market and further educational pursuit. SCHOOL OFFICER: MRS. E.
