FPI EMERGED BEST IN IT DEVELOPMENT COMPETITION
The Students of the Department of Computer Science, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has made the Institution proud as they emerged the Best placed in two different contests at the competition – Best in Software Development Challenge and Best in Quiz Competition.
The IT Development programme organized by Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Ogun State Chapter had participants from various Institutions within the state represented and among them are the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Crescent University, Mashood Abiola Polytechnic and others. The programme was held at Crescent University, Abeokuta.
The programme has the following students representing in the various competitions –
Software Development Programme – Omolewa Stephen and Obadimu Ismail
Quiz Competition – Faloye Joshua and Adeyemi Racheal
Presentation Contest – Aralamo Esther and Ogundeji Yusuff
Others with the Team include the NACOSS president Khounchi Damilare, and representatives of NACOSS and Programmers HUB, Tijani Mustapha,Babalola Nophisat, Adelekan Idowu, Afunku Detoro, Awodugba Temidayo and Olabanji Victor
The team members were trained by Mr Habeeb Amode, Mr. Abimbola Soneye, Mr Deji Osanyin, Mr. Adio Abiodun and the Head of Department of Computer Science, Dr. Mrs Jumoke Soyemi.
Receiving the Prizes and Awards, Arc. O.O. Aluko, PhD praised the student for making the Institution proud and urged them not to relent on their efforts. He promised to continue to support them whenever the needs arise. Present at the presentation of Awards and Prizes to the Institution are the Head of Department of Computer Science Dr. Mrs Jumoke Soyemi, one of the Coaches, Mr. Deji Osanyin and the Team of Students involved in the competition.
