FPI MANAGEMENT ORGANISES 2-DAY TRAINING FOR TEACHING STAFF

Management of the institution has reiterated her commitment to Training and Retraining her workforce in order to bring out the best in them.

This assertion was made by the Deputy Rector,  Engr (Mrs) I. K.  Ogunfayo while declaring open a 2- day training workshop for the  Teaching Staff of the institution which took place in the Polytechnic recently.

Justifying the need, for the training, the Polytechnic  Registrar, Mrs A. F. Osore equally hinted that for the Polytechnic to sustain her position as the best Polytechnic in Nigeria, participants must be more efficient in their lecture delivery, research activities, creativities and innovations. 

She added that whatever values they inculcate into their students by virtues of the training would speak for them in the nearest future.

The training, which was split into two; one for Lecturers/Instructors and the other for Technologists/Technical Officers were held at the Raheem Oloyo International Conference Centre and the ASUP Hall respectively.

Declaring that of the Technologists/Technical Officers training opened, Engr Ogunfayo emphasised  the need for all personnel to be up-to-date in their chosen professions In order to key into the Vision and Mission of the Polytechnic.

Resources Persons for the various Training sessions included Professor Charles Ayo (former Vice Chancellor, Covenant University, Otta and incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Trinity University, Yaba), Dr G. O Adejumo (Associate Professor, Covenant University Ota), Mr O. S. Olugbemi (Fmr Dean, SCIT/ Chief Lecturer) and Mrs E. Ajao (Chief Lecturer, General Studies) for the Lecturers' cadre, while Dr Oladele Jiboku (fmr Dean SMS/Chief Lecturer), Dr O. Olaleye (HOD, Music), Dr O. P. Ayelabowo (HOD, E/E), Messrs O. A Afolayan and J. O. Makanjuola (HOD, Food Technology) were for the Technologists/Technical Officers Cadre.

Also present at the opening ceremony were the Poly Librarian, representative of the Bursar, Prince Owolabi, Deans, Directors, HODs, Deputy Registrars and CEO (PR).
