CICT HOLDS ICDL TRAINING WORKSHOP

The Centre for Information and Communication Technology, (CICT) has organized an International Computer Driving License (ICDL)training workshop for a selected staff of the institution.

According to the Director of the Center, Dr. (Mrs) Jumoke Soyemi,  the ICDL is an Advanced Computer training that is sponsored by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) to assist the participants to prepare for ICDL Intermediate and Advanced Certification.

She said that ICDL is an international certification body and the training which is just for a week(ie from Monday, 6th to Friday, 10th January, 2020) was divided into different modules.
She said that the Advanced module is for Academic staff while the Intermediate module is for the non-teaching management staff.

The Consultant, Mr Usman, A. Muhammad, from Amtec Global Consulting Nig. Ltd. said the workshop is to let the participants know more about the advanced part of computer that will be used in their various offices.

Declaring the Workshop opened on Monday, Arc. Olusegun Olanrewaju Aluko, The Rector of the institution said that the workshop was an opportunity for the few selected participants to expand their horizon in ICT, adding that the program is a train-the-trainers course whereby the current participants will in turn train others.

With the Rector to declare the workshop opened were Engr. (Mrs) I.K. Ogunfayo, the Deputy Rector and other members of the management team.
Aderoju Shitta and Oluwafunto Julius represented TETFUND at the workshop.
