ERYK GROUP ON FACILITY TOUR TO FPI

The ERYK Group, an international Technical Assistance Providing organisation has paid a facility inspection visit to the institution to confirm availability and relevance of  equipment /facility towards offering technical assistance to the Polytechnic. 

The facility tour was on the nomination
of the Executive Secretary, National Board For Technical Education, 
Prof. idiris M Bugaje, who picked FPI as one of the institutions for the pilot project of ERYK in collaboration with NBTE. 

The team lead, Ayo Aroge, Director South West Zonal Secretariat of the NBTE said the  institution was selected alongside Yaba College Of Technology with the aim of considering a possible collaboration with NBTE/ERYK for the pilot project. 

Speaking on behalf of the Group, Chukwudi Johnpaul Okolo, ERYK Recruitment Consultant, established that  selections for the pilot project were made from TVET institutions who are ascertained to be fully practical oriented. 

He further stated that the proposal is such that graduates of technical courses, especially in Electrical / Electronics and Mechanical Engineerings would be absorbed as apprentices by ERYK Group in different parts of Europe. 

The President and Partner, ERYK, Jens- Chris Moller and Aleksander Trzeciak - ERYK Senior Engineer took turn to speak on the pilot project. 

In his response The Rector, who was represented by the Deputy Rector, Admin, Tpl Lukmon Lasisi commended the NBTE delegates for counting the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro worthy og selection for the pilot project. 

He also thanked the Executive Secretary for his foresight and futuristic ideas since his assumption of office. 

He reiterated that the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro assigns premium importance to skill  acquisition and is well positioned to produce graduates who are competent and globally competitive and as such fit properly into the pilot project. 

The Registrar, Mrs. A. F. Babatola appreciated the group for the visit and, especially, for considering the graduates of the Polytechnic fit for employment  in their establishment. 

The Deputy Rector, Admin, Dean, School of Engineering Dr. Simeon Adegbenro, other  engineers accompanied the Group on a facility tour round the various engineering studios and laboratories in the Institution, including the Innovation Centre. 

The visit marks a significant step in enhancing technical education and creating opportunities for students through strategic partnership. 

Also present at the interactive section were the representative of the Bursar, Mr Owolabi Ajayi and  the Deputy Registrar, Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. 'Sola Abiala as well as the crew of PolyTv, led by the Ag. GM, Mr. Femi Afolabi
