FPI CLINCHES GOLD IN IEIS EXHIBITION
The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro has done it again by claiming the 1st Position among other Polytechnics in The National Exhibition on Creativity And Innovation In Polytechnics, Monothechnics And Innovation Enterprise Institutions [IEIS], For Employment Generations.
This victory has, thus, signalled a joyous mood for the 45th Founder's Day Anniversary and the 22nd Convocation Ceremony of the Polytechnic.
This exhibition was organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and it took place on the 10th & 11th, February, 2025 at The Public Service Institution of Nigeria (PSIN), Kubwa, Abuja.
The event was graced by the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Bucks Sani-Gwarzo and other invited stakeholders and notable dignitaries.
Federal Polytechnic Ilaro's Research Team, led by Engr. Dr. S.A. Odunlami, the Director of Research and Development Centre (RESDEC), beat others hands down to claim the gold medal.
The Team exhibited Fourteen (14) innovations on behalf of The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State, out of a total of 82 research items presented by all the participating institutions.
At the end of the whole exercise, The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro clinched the First position, while Auchi Polytechnic and Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Polytechnic came second and third respectively among other Polytechnics that participated in the Exhibition.
The leader of the team, Dr Odunlami, said that the "Winning Team" appreciates and congratulates our visionary leader/ Rector, Dr. Mukail A. Akinde FCA and the Management Team on the great achievements, adding that "this award is hereby dedicated to our amiable Rector, Dr M.A.Akinde FCA, to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Institution.
