COURSE OBJECTIVES [FULL-TIME]
The National Diploma programme in Agric Engineering technology is aimed at producing Agric technicians and technologists for the nation's industry, construction firms, public utilities and services. On successful completion of the programme, the graduate should be able:
- carry out machine operations;
- to produce machine components;
- to operate, maintain and service agricultural equipments;
- to prepare systematic engineering reports;
- to carry out plant installation and maintenance; and
- to apply management principles in organizing supervisory groups in the management of sequence of activities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMMES
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR AGRICULTURAL AND BIO- ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING PROGRAMMES
- NATIONAL DIPLOMA:
Candidates for admission into the National Diploma (ND) programme should have at least five credit/merit level passes at not more than two sittings in S.S.C.E, WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or G.C.E, Ordinary level which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from Biology/Agric. Science, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity/Basic Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Auto-Mechanics, Metal Works, Food and Nutrition.
- HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA:
The entry qualification for candidates seeking admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Agricultural and Bio - Environmental Engineering Technology is a minimum of Lower Credits level pass at National Diploma in Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro or its recognised equivalent plus a minimum of one year post qualification relevant industrial work experience. In addition, candidate must have credit passed in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of the following: Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical drawing, Basic Electricity/Basic Electronics, Further mathematics, Geography, Auto-mechanics, Metal Works, Food and Nutrition

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES
Applicants seeking Higher National Diploma [HND] admission must possess the basic entry
requirements for the National Diploma Programme. In addition, the applicant must possess the
ND
in Computer science obtained at not less than the Lower Credit level from the Federal
Polytechnic, Ilaro or from any other Polytechnic accredited for the programme, or its
recognised
equivalent plus a minimum of one [1] year post qualification relevant industrial work
experience. The candidate should also request his or her institution to forward his or her
official academic transcript under confidential cover to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic,
Ilaro.
