Philosophy & Development

The National Diploma programme in Civil Engineering Technology is aimed at producing technicians for both the public and private sectors of the economy who can also be self-employed and self-reliant. On completion of this programme, the diploma holder should be able to: 

- function as a foreman on a construction site;

- produce good civil engineering drawing;

- supervise concreting processes;

- carry out necessary tests on construction materials;

- interpret drawings; and 

- interpret surveyor's measurements.
