WELCOME TO FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ILARO

The department was established in June 2003 after gaining autonomy from the joint Department of Building and Quantity Surveying after a Resource Inspection and subsequent approval by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Consequently, thirteen (13) pioneer students were enrolled for studies in the 2003/2004 academic year. However, the Department at this ND level was coordinated by the Department of Building Technology until April 2005 when it became fully autonomous with the appointment of a substantive Head of Department. Summary of Profile

Polytechnic   Ilaro.  He earned a B. Tech. (1987) and M.Sc. (2003) in Quantity Surveying from Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA) and University of Lagos, Akoka (UNILAG) respectively. His research interest includes: Construction Economics and Construction / Cost Management. He has Six (6) journal publications to his credit, he has attended and presented papers in several conferences, workshops and seminars. He was a resource person for the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveying (at National and State Chapters) training on the use and application of Building and Engineering Standard Method of Measurement, 4th Edition(BESMM4).
