WELCOME TO FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ILARO

Hospitality Management is one of the viable disciplines in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences, The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro. The responsibility of the department is to train manpower for operational and managerial levels in the hospitality sub-sector of the economy. At present, the Department of Hospitality Management has a well trained workforce to deliver on the mandate of personnel training for the hospitality industry through the National and Higher National Diploma programmes ran in the department. Additionally, the personnel are qualified members and fellows of relevant professional associations, including Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN).

Afuye O.F, is highly skilled in delivering engaging lectures, leading academic initiatives, and providing mentorship to students. She possesses a strong background in hospitality management with a deep passion for knowledge dissemination and student success. She is known for fostering a dynamic learning environment and achieving exceptional student feedback.

She has served as Head of Departments twice, overseeing curriculum development, faculty management, and student engagement strategies. She has also led numerous research projects, contributing valuable insights to the field. She also developed innovative teaching methods and materials, enhancing student learning outcomes. She has and  will continue to deliver her very best to her students and towards the advancement of this great institution.
